A. Rajkumar, the driver of the EMU which collided with a passenger train near Arakkonam, has undergone facial correction surgery, which was performed by plastic surgeons and dental surgeons, according to V. Palani, Medical Superintendent, Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH).

Mr. Rajkumar is recovering in ward 48 in the speciality block of the hospital and is on a liquid diet, and will most probably not require further surgery, said Dr. Palani. Mr. Rajkumar's wife, R.
