York Readings of Plastic-Surgery Musical Cuts, With Donna English and Troy Britton Johnson, Begin June 7

The York Theatre Company's Developmental Lab series continues with free readings of the new musical Cuts: An Uplifting Musical.
Directed by Mark Waldrop with musical direction by Jody Shelton, performances are scheduled for June 7-8 at 4 PM and June 9-10 at 8 PM.
The cast includes Christina�Bianco (Newsical), Micheal�Di�Liberto (Annie national tour), Rebecca�Eichenberger (The Phantom of the Opera), Donna�English (Lend Me a Tenor) and Troy�Britton�Johnson (The Drowsy Chaperone).
Cuts: An Uplifting Musical features book and lyrics by Caryl Avery. The new work is described as such: "As societal forces and our own insecurities push us toward a never-ending quest for physical perfection, along comes�Cuts: An Uplifting Musical�to parody today's makeover madness and help us laugh at our vanity.� This cutting-edge revue spares no cosmetic procedure and no musical genre in its scalpel-sharp dissection of our national obsession with looking young and beautiful."
