Dr. Frank Ryan, famed plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, California, was killed in a car crash on Monday afternoon. He was known for doing plastic surgery makeovers, most recently for performing 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day on Heidi Montag, transforming her look.His 1995 Jeep Wrangler went off the side of the roadway of PCH, and overturned down a rocky embankment towards the ocean, said TMZ. The jeep rested on its roof.He was trapped in the vehicle after sustaining major head injuries. The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the accident. The team was going to airlift him out when they freed him from his jeep, but was called off when he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Extra.He was 50 years old.Mere minutes before the accident, he updated his Twitter saying, After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew! He also posted a picture of his border collie Jill looking down at the ocean from the sand dune.The dog was seriously injured in the accident, but survived and has been taken to a veterinary hospital.Many celebrities that knew the doctor have expressed their shock and grief at his death. He has been praised for being a generous and kind man.
