Human Barbie? Sarah Burge Holds First-Ever Plastic Surgery Lottery - Softpedia

Sarah Burge, also known as the ?Human Barbie,? is again making headlines, after holding what she likes to call the first-ever plastic surgery lottery event over the weekend. The winner of the lottery will get 4,000 worth of plastic surgery.

Despite the media backlash against such an event, with plastic surgeons and women?s groups accusing the organizers of sending the wrong message with this ?depraved? event, it turned out to be a success. Women rushed to buy tickets for the lottery, knowing that there were countless other prizes to be won besides the grand prize ? and all for the admission fee of 25, as the Daily Mail informs.

Burge organized the event with Beryl Atkins, director of Birmingham cosmetic surgery clinic Transpire, which is probably where the cosmetic makeover will be made possible.

?Lesley Towle picked up the prize after buying a 25 ticket to the event, which was staged in the Clubten nightclub in East London and filmed for Living TV,? the Mail notes.

?The runner up prize was a course of Botox, while other prizes included teeth whitening, semi-permanent makeup and pole dancing lessons,? the publication further reports.

Speaking of the one-of-a-kind (so far) event, Atkins underlined that no one would be forcing the winner to get plastic surgery, or to get a specific procedure.

The winner is free to choose whichever intervention she wants and get as many of them as she sees fit, within the specified amount.

She will also have to undergo screening before going under the knife, Atkins said.

?This is not something we are doing on a whim,? she added.

Burge, who is very open about her love of plastic surgery, said that this type of events represents the future of plastic surgery, which is thus made accessible to women who will probably not be able to afford it otherwise.

?This new theme plastic surgery and party concept is the way forward and is based on our society?s fascination for all things in life that are beautiful and an object of desire,? she explained.
