Competitions which offer treatments such as breast uplifts and breast enlargement surgery as prizes should be banned, according to industry bodies.
The Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps) have both spoken out about such prize draws, stating that they have become too prevalent in recent months.
Sally Taber, from IHAS, told the BBC: "They're enticing people to have cosmetic surgery who may not have even thought about it.
"It's important people make an informed decision in the right environment. A party area is not the right environment."
Jackie Lewis from Baaps added that the competitions trivialise the issue.
The comments come just days after the My Big Fat Plastic Surgery Prize Draw, a monthly competition which sees people winning money for the surgery of their choice, was launched.
Tickets for the prize draw cost �25 and the grand prize is worth �4,000.
Earlier this month, a Canadian radio station launched a competition which saw listeners winning breast implants.
