The latest cosmetic surgery research has uncovered an increase in the number of people over 65 going under the knife. A study done in the UK shows that plastic surgery clinics have seen an 18 percent increase in requests for facelifts according to reports. Some feel this might be due to the influence of celebrities like Joan Rivers who openly discuss their cosmetic procedures.
Other factors have been identified as helping to drive this trend. Many older women simply have more time to devote to taking care of themselves. They no longer have to care for their children, and many also have more disposable income as well. The survey revealed that older women were increasingly turning to plastic surgery alternatives like Botox treatments in their bid to remain youthful looking.
