Leighton Meester, trying to be the best sister she can, had sent her mother $7,500 a month to help out with her brother Lex, who has 'severe medical issues'. But as it turns out, her mother Constance had been putting the money toward other bills ? plastic surgery bills.
Now as any pissed off daughter would do, Leighton has brought a lawsuit against her mother for misusing the money, according to TMZ.
The 25-year-old Gossip Girl actress claims her mom used the money on Botox, hair extensions, plastic surgery and other personal expenses. But according to Constance, her and her daughter had an agreement. A verbal one a matter of fact, in which Leighton stated she would give her $10,000 a month for the rest of her life.
And now as any pissed off mother would do, Constance has brought a lawsuit against her daughter for reengaging on their agreement. The 55-year-old unemployed mother is asking for $3 million if the actress refuses to pay her the monthly money. But Leighton is insisting there is no such verbal contract and is asking a judge to say so as well.
But it's not like she was the best mom to begin with, after all, Constance did give birth to Leighton while in jail after a drug smuggling conviction. And just this year she was issued a restraining order for allegedly threatening to 'hunt down and kill' Laurel Wigg and her son.
Money issues aside, Leighton does love her mother, you could even say she finds Constance to be an ? inspiration?
"My mother Connie inspires me. She's an amazing woman," she said in an interview with Grazia magazine last year, "When I was a kid I wanted to be an actress and she completely backed me. She is her own person, very eccentric, very individual."
