More and more couples are seeing the plastic surgeon for a little routine maintenance.
Business comes in pairs at one North Texas plastic surgery center.
Physicians at the Fort Worth Plastic Surgery Center said it sees more couples coming in together to get procedures.
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American?s spent nearly $10.7 billion on procedures in 2010, up nine percent� from the year before.
Physicians say the lifting recession could be a factor.
But Nick Emmitte said his reason is simple: he wants to keep up with his beautiful wife.
"One-hundred percent of the people we know will comment on how I married up, so in order to keep the discrepancy from getting any wider, I said, 'I better do something,'" he said.
The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery also says men's procedures have increased a whopping 88 percent since 1997.
