Carrie Fisher denies cosmetic surgery claims - Digital Spy

Carrie Fisher has denied claims that she recently had cosmetic surgery.

The Star Wars actress has lost more than 50lbs since becoming a Jenny Craig spokesperson in 2010, but some tabloids have claimed that her more youthful appearance comes from procedures such as Botox.

Quizzed about possible lip implants by Access Hollywood Live, Fisher replied: "No... I don't want to get those lip things, but I had my lip lines removed, so that's why it looks like [I had surgery]."

Fisher previously admitted that electroconvulsive therapy has helped her cope with depression.

The star further explained that people often misunderstand the severity of the therapy because of its violent portrayal in television and movies.

"I benefited from it," she said. "You go in in the morning, they put you to sleep? for like ten minutes. There's a medication they give so there are no convulsions any longer? Then you have a tiny bit of a headache when you're awake and you take a nap and it's over."

Fisher has said that she decided to lose weight after realising that her heath was in serious jeopardy.
